Estate Frontenac Vertical Tasting

A vertical tasting is a sampling of wines from the same grapes from the same vineyard but from different vintage years. Tasting wines in a vertical tasting is a great way to compare the differences that each year brings to the grapes due to changes in climate, harvest, and vinification. Every vintage is unique in its own way. Our little micro-plot of estate Frontenac grapes was planted in 2014 and the first crop of grapes was harvested in 2017. These grapes are grown sustainably and as naturally as possible without the intervention of spraying or irrigation. Thus, the estate wine produced from this plot demonstrates this yearly variance in a profound way. Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to taste five years of grapes from our estate vineyard in one sitting.

Winemaker, Greg Cook, will lead you through the history of the Frontenac grape and describe the seasons that produced each wine you will taste. You will be able to stroll through the vineyard that provides the wine in your glass and see how the vines have matured. You will also have exclusive access to the pre-release of our 2022 vintage Estate Frontenac before it is released to the public in 2024.

Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the program will begin promptly at 7:00 pm. Cheese and snacks will be provided.
